UPDATES FOR CANADIANS TRAVELING TO CUBA STARTING JANUARY 2022
Documents needed to travel: valid passport, tourist card (it’s included and provided on board), medical insurance that cover Covid 19 and proof of vaccination (digital or printed copy).
NO Covid PCR test is needed prior entering Cuba for vaccinated travellers.
Non-vaccinated travellers must have a proof of negative PCR 72 hrs test prior entering Cuba.
All Health Canada approved vaccines and mixed vaccines are accepted.
All Children under 12 years of age are exempted from presenting a vaccination certificate or PCR test.
The PCR test Canadians need to re-enter back in Canada is done right at the hotels, cost is 30 USD, payable locally by Debit/Visa or Visa credit cards by Canadian banks.
If covid insurance cannot be obtained in Canada, insurance with covid coverage is available at the airport in Cuba or online at www.cubatravel.cu
Starting on January 1, 2022, travellers must provide information in advance prior entering Cuba. Passengers can log in at: https://www.dviajeros.mitrans.gob.cu/ to access this new form (in the past, clients were given these forms on board).
